Caring for Farmers, Families and Fur-friends
We love to see farmers, families and friends rolling up their sleeves and getting things done. Like Lunga Gombo, an urban farmer in Kayamandi, Stellenbosch.
Agrimark Stellenbosch recently donated garden tools, fertiliser, seeds and personal protective
equipment to this local farmer to help kick-start his business.
“Lunga is passionate about farming and not only uses his garden to generate an income for his
family, but also to feed families in Kayamandi. We were very impressed with his commitment
and drive in trying to generate an income for his family after losing his job as a bartender during
lockdown. Our contribution will not only benefit him, but also the community as a whole,”
says Steven Cronjé, Agrimark Stellenbosch store manager.
In a separate donation, the branch also gave over 100 kg of dog food to the local animal welfare society, and the furry friends could not be happier about it!
