Agrimark Grain

Agrimark Grain is the business segment of KAL Group that primarily focuses on: grain handling and storage, the marketing of agricultural commodities, seed and animal feed sales, as well as agricultural management advisory services.

To date, Agrimark Grain manages 14 silo complexes with a total storage capacity of 330,000 tons and a bunker complex with a 57,100 tons storage capacity. 

Agrimark Grain’s trading division is responsible for the marketing of small grains and oilseeds. Moreover, we also trade in potatoes mainly from the Sandveld and Ceres regions.
 

Agrimark Packaging

Agrimark Packaging services the fruit and vegetable farming sector with packaging materials. There are 10 standalone centres with 24 additional facilities managed in conjunction with Agrimark stores. These branches support KAL Group’s drive into the water-intensive areas of the country, where fruit and vegetable production is the core farming operation.

Agrimark Packaging branches are redistribution centres for products such as cartons, carton inner packaging, plastic bags, labels, pallet strapping and pallets – anything a farmer needs to market products in South Africa or for the export market. Additionally, we also offer harvest financing solutions to all major South African producers and exporters.

Agrimark Mechanisation

Agrimark Mechanisation provides a comprehensive mechanisation offering to the agricultural sector, supporting efficient and productive farming operations. The business supplies agricultural machinery and equipment, supported by an established after-sales service capability, including a parts branch network, workshop services and on-farm technical support aimed at minimising downtime and ensuring continuity of operations.

Agrimark Mechanisation is one of the largest New Holland agents in Southern Africa and operates 12 sales branches, 12 service workshops, 11 parts outlets as well as 3 engineering workshops within the Western Cape. Through select operations in KwaZulu-Natal, Agrimark Mechanisation also offers Kubota and Deutz-Fahr tractors and equipment, supported by genuine parts availability and workshop servicing. 

The mechanisation offering further includes brands such as Maschio Gaspardo, Väderstad, Collard, as well as locally manufactured equipment and a range of versatile mechanisation solutions by VST suited to small-scale, intensive and new-generation farming applications.

Agrimark Financial Services

Backed by KAL Group, a registered credit provider, Agrimark Financial Services offers a range of financing products. With over 11 regional offices, we specialise in tailor-made credit solutions and support to agricultural producers, including:

• 48-hours Grain Trading Credit: Utilised for handling grain sales and payable within 48 hours after date of invoicing.
• Agricultural Seasonal Credit: Financing granted for up to 12 months for crop production inputs with specific settlement dates for the various production groups.
• Establishment Credit: 12-60 month accounts for building permanent structures and expanding production activities.
• 30-day Credit: Which allows clients such as contractors and businesses to buy supplies with 30 days to pay after date of statement.

All credit applications undergo an affordability assessment.
