As supply chain is the backbone of our business, we ensure that our supplier development programmes are truly value-adding and aligned to our business needs. Our supplier development initiatives include early payment terms for small and black-owned businesses, focused procurement spend with B-BBEE suppliers, as well as financial assistance to beneficiary suppliers.
We’ve invested in the development of a supplier portal and database where suppliers from all over South Africa can offer their services to existing and potential agri-sector clients within the critical framework of B-BBEE and statutory compliance. The portal gives buyers the opportunity to access vetted suppliers to fulfil their supply chain management requirements, while suppliers gain access to markets.
The portal will develop a marketplace for the agri-sector (accommodating fuel and retail configuration), that enables buyers and suppliers to find each other, to drive growth opportunities.
